Risk Management

Division Overview

The Risk Management Division is responsible for:

  • Coordination of the city’s Americans with Disability Act (ADA) activities
  • Managing the city’s self-insured Workers’ Compensation program
  • Managing the city’s self-insured liability claims program
  • Reviewing contractual risk transfers and risk financing arrangements
  • Processing Fire and Police Industrial Disability Retirements
  • Serving as a loss prevention and control resource to all city departments in their Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) efforts
