Division Overview
The Risk Management Division is responsible for:
- Coordination of the city’s Americans with Disability Act (ADA) activities
- Managing the city’s self-insured Workers’ Compensation program
- Managing the city’s self-insured liability claims program
- Reviewing contractual risk transfers and risk financing arrangements
- Processing Fire and Police Industrial Disability Retirements
- Serving as a loss prevention and control resource to all city departments in their Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) efforts
