Parks Master Plan (2012)

Improving Our Parks

The City of La Mesa has developed a Parks Master Plan to identify improvements to the parks system necessary to meet both current and future community needs for parks, open space, and urban respite areas.

Funding

The portion of the funding for this project was made possible by a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, administered through the County of San Diego and the San Diego Association of Governments Active Transportation Program.

Project Goal

The project goal is to create a long-term plan for updating and upgrading city parks and bringing opportunities for increased physical activity into areas of the city that are within 15 minutes walking distance from a park facility.
