Climate Action Plan Update
Background: City of La Mesa Climate Action Plan
The City of La Mesa adopted the Climate Action Plan (CAP) in March 2018, affirming its commitment to environmental sustainability. The CAP establishes a long-range roadmap to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the categories of energy, transportation, solid waste, water, and green infrastructure. It guides which implementation activities the City prioritizes in order to mitigate the effects of climate change, supporting La Mesa's vision of a safe, healthy community. Visit the Climate Action Plan webpage for a more detailed overview of La Mesa's CAP.
The City of La Mesa is updating the Climate Action Plan (CAP) and is seeking your input by filling out an online survey. The CAP was adopted in 2018 and is a roadmap of actions the City can take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in La Mesa from transportation, solid waste, energy, water, and green infrastructure. The CAP Update will reflect the City’s progress to reduce emissions, evaluate new targets, and consider new actions the City can take. Your valuable feedback will help develop effective strategies to address climate change in the La Mesa community. Estimated time to complete the survey is 5-10 minutes.
The survey is also available in a paper version to download, print, and send to the City or as a fillable PDF. Surveys can be submitted by email to email@example.com or can be dropped off or mailed to: City of La Mesa Engineering Department, 8130 Allison Ave, La Mesa, CA 91942
