Staff recommends consensus of the use of City resources needed to produce the event as outlined above, an Agreement with Jump’n Jack Flash Entertainment and Productions, and authorization to temporarily close a portion of La Mesa City streets for the 2016 City of La Mesa Classic Car Show.

8. CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE TRANSNET LOCAL STREET IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM OF PROJECTS FOR FISCAL YEARS 2017 THROUGH 2021
Staff recommends adopting the attached resolution approving the FY17 – FY21 Regional Transportation Improvement Plan and TransNet program of projects. Adoption of this resolution will provide the necessary legal authority for the City of La Mesa to spend these funds on its transportation program.
