Get ready to ride your bike in La Mesa! This free class covers general bike maintenance, maneuver skills, bike and helmet fitting, road rules, and rider responsibilities. It is a great introduction to urban riding and equally valuable for experienced cyclists that want to brush up on road rules.
Classes are open to bike riders of all ages. E-bikes welcome! Class content applies to both regular and e-bikes. The 3-hour free class is broken up into 3 parts: lecture, skills drills, and road riding. The road riding portion of this class is a guided bike ride and we take frequent stops to discuss bike infrastructure and riding skills. Class sizes are limited so register now!
Please note this class is not a “learn to ride a bike” class, some experience is required for the skills drills and group ride.
This class will be held on Saturday, February 24 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM starting at the La Mesa Library, located at 8074 Allison Ave.
